Business Description

Willy Nilly's owner and resident artist Deborah Willard creates original handpainted clothing and accessories, producing unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. Designs are lively, whimsical, colorful; suitable for babies, kids and adults. Owned and operated Deborah Designs, a shop in Cruz Bay, St. John, USVI. Currently creates as Deborah Willard Design. Also pet portraits and illustration work, mainly in pastel and pencil; also works in acrylic, ink, mixed media. An accomplished photographer, she publishes greeting cards and art prints featuring her nature and animal photos and artwork. The retail space at Willy Nilly also offers Dollhouse Lady Creations, a series of themed dollhouses created from repurposed materials; handcrafted quality wooden toys made in North Carolina; new and used children's books; graphic design and illustration services. Past projects include book illustration; screen printed t-shirts; pet portraits; website design and maintenance; editing and formatting book manuscript for print and e-book publishing; event photography; calligraphic art and hand lettering. Willy Nilly's owner and artist Deborah Willard actively promotes the Downtown Arts District in her native Winston-Salem NC, through her blog TradeStreetTracker.com, and through involvement in the Downtown Arts District Association (DADA).
